Prof. Šime Demo, PhD, gave a presentation titled "Renaissance Inscriptions in Istria: An Investigation of Their Form, Language and Style" at the 71st Annual Meeting of the Renaissance Society of America (Boston, MA, United States, March 20–22, 2025), within the session "Raising Questions and Finding Answers by Examining Archives". In his presentation, he introduced the initial results of the project Early Modern Latin Stone Inscriptions in Churches of Southern Istria: Documentation, Analysis, Contextualization (IP-2022-10-5068), led by the Faculty of Croatian Studies and taking place from 2023 to 2027.
The Renaissance Society of America is the largest international organization dedicated to the study of history and culture between 1300 and 1700. Its annual conference is the world's most extensive gathering of experts from various disciplines who focus on this period. This year's meeting brought together over 2,200 members from around the globe.
