General Requirements

• Completed undergraduate and/or graduate university study in Philosophy (300 ECTS credits), or another university programme in the humanities, natural sciences, or social sciences (for the doctoral programme in Philosophy).
• Completed undergraduate and/or graduate university study in Croatology (300 ECTS credits), or another university programme in the humanities or social sciences (for the doctoral programme in Croatology).
• Completed single major or double major undergraduate and/or graduate university study in History (300 ECTS credits), or another programme in the humanities or social sciences (for the doctoral programme in History).
• Successful interview with the Admissions Committee.

Specific Requirements

• Minimum grade point average: 4.00
• Candidates with GPA between 3.50 and 4.00 must submit two recommendation letters (not older than 6 months, in sealed envelopes).
• Candidates with lower GPA but with published scientific and/or professional papers may be admitted based on the decision of the Admissions Committee.
• Candidates with foreign diplomas must obtain official recognition issued by the University of Zagreb.

Application Documents

1. Application form (name, address, email, phone number).
2. Motivation letter (1500–2000 words) including research interests, proposed topic, funding plan, and study mode.
3. Proof of payment of the application fee (40 EUR).
4. Curriculum Vitae.
5. Certified copy of diploma.
6. Transcript of records.
7. Proof of citizenship or equivalent document (for international applicants).

Study Information

The doctoral programme lasts six semesters (180 ECTS credits).

Tuition fee: 1,100 EUR per semester.
