On Wednesday, November 27, 2024, a lecture was held in the Great Council Hall as part of the course Policies of Sustainable Development of the European Union, led by Associate Professor  Andreja Sršen, in collaboration with the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs.

In line with the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Republic of Croatia and the College of Europe in 2023, and as part of the Youth in Diplomacy campaign, the lecture aimed to familiarize sociology students with the diplomatic profession and provide insights into labor market opportunities associated with the Memorandum.

The lecture commenced with an introductory speech by Mr. Karlo Kolesar, Head of the Diplomatic Academy. Following this, Mr. Pierra Bachelier, Director of Student Affairs at the College of Europe, introduced the study programs and student life on the campuses in Bruges, Natolin, and Tirana. He also presented scholarship opportunities for sociology students, particularly focusing on topics related to the European Union and international relations, taught by Associate Professor Andreja Sršen at the Department of Sociology.

The students participated in the discussion and gained a deeper understanding of the national scholarship program. At the conclusion of the lecture, the Head of the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs thanked the Vice Dean for Science, Associate Professor Andreja Sršen, for her hospitality and announced continued collaboration.
