On the occasion of World Mental Health Day, 10 October 2025, the 17th International Professional Conference of Educational and Sports Professionals, entitled “Mental Health – Well-being of Children and Youth through Learning and Sports Activities”, was held in Križevci.
Professor Greblo Jurakić delivered an invited lecture and participated in the panel discussion “Well-being of Children and Youth through Learning and Sports Activities”, alongside Helenca Pirnat Dragičević, the Ombudsperson for Children, Prof. Predrag Pale, Ph.D., and Prof. Aleksandar Ivanovski, Ph.D..
In the concluding part of the panel discussion, moderated by Prof. Gordana Juran Ratković, the participants highlighted the responsibility of adults (parents, teachers, professors, and sports professionals) in creating a safe educational and sports environment that contributes to the psychosocial well-being of children and adolescents.
On Monday, 13 October, Assoc. Prof. Zrinka Greblo Jurakić, Ph.D., took part in a meeting of the consortium of the Erasmus+ project GUARD – Safeguarding Children in Sport, aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of child protection in sport through the establishment of structured systems and the appointment and training of Child Safeguarding Officers.
The following day, Professor Greblo Jurakić delivered a lecture within the second educational module of the GUARD project, attended by more than 170 participants from seven countries.
