Biography

Marta Takahashi was born in Zagreb, where she completed primary school, elementary music school, and the XV Gymnasium (MIOC). She graduated summa cum laude from the graduate study programme in Public Relations at the Edward Bernays University College for Communication Management and from the graduate study programme in Public Relations at the University of Dubrovnik. In 2025, she obtained her PhD in Communication Studies from the doctoral programme in Communication Studies at the J. J. Strossmayer University of Osijek. From 2016 to 2021, she was employed at the Edward Bernays University College for Communication Management, and from 2021 to 2026 at the PR agency Narativ komunikacije. Since January 2026, she has been permanently employed as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Communication Studies, Faculty of Croatian Studies, University of Zagreb. She participated in three teaching mobility programmes at ISCOM – Higher Institute for Communications and Advertising in Paris (France), where she delivered lectures within the framework of the Erasmus+ programme. Her work has been cited 118 times. She has edited one conference proceedings volume and two books. She has served on the organising and programme committees of four scientific and professional conferences and acts as a reviewer for national and international academic journals. She is the recipient of the IFIA Lady Prize, awarded by the International Federation of Inventors’ Associations for the best work by women innovators at the 8th International Exhibition of Innovations, New Ideas, Products and Technologies ARCA.
