PristupačnostThe Department of Sociology was established in 1992 and is one of the core disciplines of the Faculty of Croatian Studies. The concept of sociology studies focuses on the application of sociological theories and social science methodology for understanding social processes and phenomena in the specific context of Croatian society and comparatively in a European and global perspective. The study of sociology aims to train highly qualified sociological research personnel with professional research and analytical skills necessary for productive work in the public and private sectors. The sociology program at the bachelor's and master's levels is organized according to current international scientific standards.
Associate Professor Andreja Sršen attended the conference, which brought together representatives of institutions and policymakers to discuss the European Union’s strategic priorities and the upcoming financial period.
The opening address was delivered by Nataša Mikuš-Žigman, Minister of Regional Development and EU Funds of the Republic of Croatia, followed by two panel discussions: “EU Policies and Financial Perspective 2028–2034” and “How to Prepare for the Next Financial Period”.
The first panel brought together Josip Brkić, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina; Zoran Zeljko, Director of the Directorate for Economic Planning of Bosnia and Herzegovina; Željana Zovko, Member of the European Parliament; Karlo Ressler, Member of the European Parliament; Marko Pavić, Member of the Croatian Parliament; and Zvonimir Savić, Special Adviser to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia.
The main topics focused on the EU’s strategic priorities and financial perspective for 2028–2034, the preparation of institutions and partners for the upcoming financial period, strengthening cross-border and regional cooperation, and the exchange of knowledge and good practices.
